Abstract

Quorum sensing (QS) is a change in phenotype dependent upon cell density. Chlamydomonas reinhardtii strain CC-124 has been found to speed up at high cell density (HCD). C. reinhardtii CC-4414 does not speed up at HCD. The mechanism of QS in C. reinhardtii is unknown.
