Abstract
According to NOAA (2013) a hurricane is a type of storm called a tropical cyclone, which forms over tropical or subtropical waters. A tropical cyclone is a rotating low-pressure weather system that has organized thunderstorms but no fronts. Florida, located in the southeast United States, frequently experiences tropical cyclones (TC). Hurricane Irma devastated Key West, Florida, before moving through the heart of the state as a category 4 storm.
