Abstract
According to NOAA (2013) a hurricane is a type of storm called a tropical cyclone, which forms over tropical or subtropical waters. • A tropical cyclone is a rotating low-pressure weather system that has organized thunderstorms but no fronts. • Florida, located in the southeast United States, frequently experiences tropical cyclones (TC). • Hurricane Irma devastated Key West, Florida, before moving through the heart of the state as a category 4 storm.
