Abstract
Wildlife strikes can have damaging effects on aircraft and can lead to serious accidents. Understanding when wildlife strikes occur would help the aviation industry be more cautious of the risk. After reviewing the reports of the Federal Aviation Administration’s (FAA) Wildlife Database over a 10 years period, it was determined that there is no significant difference with time of day for wildlife strikes.
