Individual case studies identified that the American educational and governmental system is not adequately preparing our students/citizens to understand basic concepts of energy in order to grasp its enormous impact in their everyday life. Interviews of elementary students through master degree/practicing experts tested their knowledge of basic energy principles and practices to demonstrate that the American education system poorly educates students in the field of energy.
