Abstract
- According to Vose et al. (2017), the Midwest experienced the largest increase in average minimum temperature among all regions of the United States which is a noticeable risk to the Midwest population.
- The climatology of the Midwest is majority hot summer humid continental and includes warm summer humid continental and cold semi-arid.
- This study investigated cities that have experienced high counts of (EHEs) and positive population growths in between 2000 and 2020 while plotting the cities into a risk map.
