Abstract
The FP-16 features a push rod suspension assembly with unequal length a-arms. The suspension assembly includes carbon fiber suspension a-arms and push rods, an anti-roll bar, and custom uprights engineered for optimizing a one to one ratio of travel. Improving on previous years, this year the FP-16 runs with pro Ackerman geometry. This adjustment results in the inner tire having a greater slip angle than the outer one which provides the vehicle with more grip and steering control when turning in corners. Additionally, the FP-16 implemented an anti-roll bar to add stability and reduce the vehicle’s body roll when cornering.
