Abstract
The team has designed and prototyped the layout of a seated workstation that will be installed in a Northrop Grumman aircraft. The size of the workstation is being decreased as Northrop Grumman transitions to the smaller Gulfstream 550. The workstation meets all requirements and standards set by Northrop Grumman, the Federal Aviation Administration, and the U.S. military. The components and their layout were designed within a $2,000 budget and use the least amount of space within the allotted volume. If components could not meet all requirements within budget, an alternative option was provided with justification that shows the alternative option will meet all requirements The team has ensured that users can perform all mission functions for extended periods of time with sufficient comfort.
